The Maxxis Grifter tyre is designed for street, park, flatland and vert riding but is by far the most popular choice of park riders across the world. This is the wire bead version of the Maxxis Grifter foldable tyre and has the same proven micro tread pattern.

You can almost guarantee that one or more of the podium winners at any major BMX Park event will be using Maxxis Grifter tyres. This list of riders includes Olympic Gold BMX Freestyle Medallist Logan Martin who runs a 2.1” tyre on the front wheel and a 1.85” on the rear. These tyres are made using a casing with 120 TPI (Threads Per Inch) which offers a faster more responsive feel while reducing the weight.

The tyres have a dual compound meaning the tread pattern has different hardnesses which allows it to be really fast while still being grippy when cornering. The sidewall is strong enough to withstand up to 110 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) of air pressure.

The tyre only comes in all black and features a yellow MAXXIS logo on the sidewall which is a regular sight at BMX parks around the world.
